With twice weekly flights to Fez nowadays from the UK, Ryanair offer flights on a Sunday and Wednesday. For those coming from other countries the best airport for this region is Casablanca.

This tour incorporates the cultural centre of Morocco, Fez, excursions to the imperial city of Meknes, the Roman ruins of Volubilis the mystical town of Chefchaouen, the vibrant city of Tangier, the capital city of Rabat and back to Fez for the last night or fly out of Rabat on RyanAir to the UK (3 flights a week) or from Casablanca which is 90 minutes away.


DAY 1 | Arrive in Fez

Arrive in Fez (or Casablanca – a 3.5 hour transfer) and transfer in your private chauffeur driven car to the city. Car access to the medina (old town) is not allowed making it the largest carfree city in the world, but it is only short walk (your bags are carried by a porter) to your classic and traditional riad, the acclaimed Riad Myra. Riad Myra is in the centre of the medina and offers excellent en-suite accommodation and especially good dining. Your accommodation is based on a bed and breakfast basis, B&B. We do suggest for the first evening you dine at the riad.

DAY 2 | Cultural tour of Fez

After breakfast your English-speaking professional city guide will meet you at the riad and take you on a full-day guided tour of the very best cultural aspects of Fez as well as the Medina and the famed leather tannery. Lunch at your leisure. In the evening you can dine out in one of the many restaurants that we can advise upon. Night at Riad Myra on a B&B basis.

DAY 3 | Meknes

Your personal chauffeur is at your disposal for the day. You also will have a professional guide with you this day. He will take you to the imperial city of Meknes with its wonderful old buildings. After lunch at your leisure, you then continue to the nearby Roman ruins of Volubilis. Return to Riad Myra for the night.

DAY 4 | Chefchaouen

After breakfast your driver will meet you and take you to the magical town of Chefchaouen. A drive of about 2.5 hours with stops (87 miles). Chefchaouen is famed for the vibrant blue that the houses are painted with. Noted for the very relaxed nature of the town, Chefchaouen is a wonderful place to relax and explore the Moroccan/Spanish architecture. No guide is needed here. Your accommodation is the excellent Dar Echchaouen with spacious rooms, a wonderful terrace overlooking the town, pool and excellent dining. Dinner is included here.

DAY 5 | Tangier

After an early lunch your chauffeur will then take you to Tangier, about 75 miles. Tangiers is a very busy port city but has a charm and an interesting history. The medina is small but offers some fascinating places to see especially at the top of the medina. You will need a guide in the medina. Your accommodation is at Riad Maison de Tangier. From here you have stunning views over the Atlantic and the Mediterranean as well as the coastline of Spain. The rooms are all en-suite and spacious. The food is well regarded and a very friendly staff are there to look after you. Your accommodation is on a B&B basis.

DAY 6 | Medina

In the morning your professional English-speaking guide will take you on a tour of the medina. You need no more than half a day with a guide. In the afternoon your driver is at your disposal and we do suggest going to Asilah. Asilah is about an hour from Tangier. A sleepy fishing village with an interesting medina and history. Return to your riad. In the evening we can suggest the best places to dine and your chauffeur will be at your disposal.

DAY 7 | Rabat

Morning transfer to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. A journey of about 2.5 to 3 hours. Rabat comprises two parts, the ancient city on the coast and the new city with its government buildings, embassies and modern bars and restaurants. Your accommodation is at Villa Mandarine which is a very good property with comfortable and spacious en-suite accommodation. Very good dining and beautiful gardens and a good sized pool. Your accommodation here this night includes dinner.

DAY 8 | Tour of medina

After breakfast your driver is at your disposal along with a professional English-speaking guide. The city offers numerous monuments, parks and of course the old city and the medina. A relaxed day to explore Rabat. In the evening you return to Villa Mandarine. If you wish to dine out elsewhere we can suggest the best places to go. Your driver is at your disposal.

DAY 9 | Flight home

Depending on your flight time and your chosen airport (Rabat or Casablanca) your driver will be at your disposal.
